Videlle Bionatura: Passion for Organic Activity
Videlle Bionatura was founded in 2011 with the desire to reclaim abandoned olive groves on the shores
of Lake Garda.
From the beginning, the company decided to adopt an organic approach, focusing on a
sustainable agriculture model that respects nature, promotes biodiversity, and protects soil health.
The production of extra virgin olive oil, which began later, was never just an economic goal, but a means to realize a greater desire:
to create a positive impact on the environment and people’s health. In an agricultural context
increasingly influenced by intensive and chemical practices, Videlle Bionatura decided to take an
alternative path, where the well-being of the land and consumers are at the center of every
choice.
WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE TERM ORGANIC MEAN?
The term organic refers to the use of natural substances, present in nature, which
therefore exclude the use of synthetic chemical substances such as fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides.
Specifically, the company uses algae, propolis, and amino acids, the use of compost and manure for
fertilization, and other natural products such as kaolin (a powder derived from rocks) for the
treatment of olive trees.
The advantages of the organic approach are numerous, but one of the most important certainly concerns
the health of the environment and the protection of biodiversity.
Since pesticides or chemical fertilizers are not used, soil pollution is reduced,
consequently ensuring the survival of local biodiversity.
Moreover, soil management becomes more sustainable: organic practices aim to maintain
long-term soil fertility, avoiding the depletion of natural resources.
Videlle Bionatura’s commitment, however, extends well beyond this, thanks to the achievement of carbon
neutral certification, which allows for further reduction of environmental impact.
Thanks to this, the company is able to offset its greenhouse gas emissions through
emission reduction and support for certified compensation projects, contributing to
a more sustainable future.
THE BENEFITS FOR HUMAN NUTRITION
In addition to the reduced environmental impact that organic agriculture contributes to, there are also numerous
benefits it brings to human nutrition.
Numerous scientific studies have shown that a diet rich in organic foods can
help reduce the risk of certain diseases, including those related to exposure to harmful
chemical substances. In particular, the reduction in pesticide intake has been associated with
benefits for the immune system, the endocrine system, and general well-being.
Although organic products have a higher price compared to conventional products,
in recent years consumers have begun to show increasing interest in this rapidly
growing sector.
The trend now is to prefer healthy and sustainable products despite the greater economic impact.
AGRICULTURAL POLICIES
Agricultural policies, both at European and global levels, are beginning to favor more ecological agricultural
practices, encouraging the transition to agriculture that respects the environment.
However, there are still many challenges to face, including the improvement of agronomic
techniques, increasing the productivity of organic crops, and reducing production costs. Access to markets and distribution of organic products remain crucial challenges,
but Videlle Bionatura is convinced that, with the right commitment and innovation, organic agriculture
is the way forward to ensure a healthy, sustainable, and prosperous future.
Videlle Bionatura is not just a company that produces olive oil. It is an entity that deeply believes
in caring for the land, protecting the environment, and the health of its consumers.
Every olive we harvest and every drop of our oil tell a story of commitment,
passion, and respect for nature, but also of hope for a more sustainable future.
